Eloise Brown

Eloise_brown_ is a Georgian born in the Midway district. She attended Hawkinsville High School as well as Middle Georgia College. She worked for Georgia Highway Transport after graduation and then was employed by Chichesters. Eloise taught Sunday School for many years at Lizella Baptist Church. She was a member of both the American Business Women's and Woman Transportation Clubs. She was married to Robert Lee Brown Sr. for 61 years. She is survived by her son, Robert Lee Brown Jr. (Tracy); three daughters Deborah Brown, Cheryl Brown Peacock and Robin Brown; five grandchildren, Debora Brown Benjamin, Jason Benjamin, Sharyl Blue, Raven Peacock and Alexander Brown; seven great-grandchildren, Kingston Roberts, King Odom, Jeyson Benjamin, Preston Benjamin, Kani Petis and Greyson Benjamin; a brother, Charles West of Crawford County and many nieces and nephews.

Eloise holds a Master's degree in Oceanography, as well as a B.A. Eloise has a Master of Science in Oceanography and a B.A. She has taught in various classification areas, including Mild/Mildly Learning Disabled (MLLD), Mentally Handicapped (MH) and Behavior Disorders. During her career she realized that each student had different strengths, abilities and personality and functioned in learning accordingly. She enjoyed working with the children on a one to one correspondence and recognized that with love, understanding and respect they were able to adjust to new situations in their lives.
